What is digital pedagogy?


Digital pedagogy can be broadly defined as the use of electronic or multimedia aspects to either enhance or positively change the educational experience. Use of technological aspects can encompass, but not limited to, PowerPoint presentations in the classroom, multimedia features such as videos and podcasts and the use of online based educational materials. Typically the type of activities that learners are introduced to include ‘blogging’ assignments and encouraging the learners to make use of digital tools to test ideas. Digital pedagogy thus encompasses incorporating technology in the classroom, with the purpose of transforming teaching and learning experience in diverse ways.
